Agreement Issues
Troubleshoot agreement sections not appearing, missing agreements, and paperwork after edits.
Overview
This page covers common problems with agreements and their conditional sections.
A Section Shows for the Wrong Orders (or Doesn't Show)
This almost always comes down to how conditions combine:
- Parameters within one condition must ALL match (AND).
- Across multiple conditions, any single match wins (OR).
Example: Suppose a section has two conditions — condition 1 is State: New York + Additional Info: Radon, and condition 2 is State: Massachusetts + Additional Info: Radon. The section appears for a radon job in New York or Massachusetts, because each condition only needs its own parameters to all match, and only one condition needs to match overall.
If a section is appearing (or not appearing) unexpectedly, open it in the agreement builder and check each condition's parameters against the Order in question.
An Order Has No Agreement
Two common causes:
- Auto-generate agreements was off in SettingsPreferences when the Order was approved — agreements are only generated automatically for orders approved while the toggle is on.
- The order predates your agreement setup — it was created before you built any agreements.
Either way, you can generate the agreement now from the Order's Documents tab.
I Edited an Order After Sending Paperwork
When you edit an Order that already has agreements or invoices sent, the edit flow offers to regenerate those documents and resend the related notifications — so the client always sees paperwork that matches the latest details. Accept the offer to keep everyone in sync, or skip it if the edit doesn't affect what was already sent.
