Google Calendar Sync Issues
Fix common problems with Google Calendar sync, busy-time blocking, and appointment times.
Overview
This page covers the most common Google Calendar sync problems. For how sync normally works, see Google Calendar Sync.
Orders Stopped Appearing in Google Calendar
The sync connection can occasionally drop even though your account is still linked.
Go to SettingsIntegrations and turn Sync approved orders off, then back on. This re-establishes the connection.
If Google prompts you to re-authorize access, approve it. Newly approved Orders should start syncing again.
A Busy Google Event Isn't Blocking Online Booking Slots
Two things can cause this:
- The event must be marked Busy. Events marked Free in Google Calendar never block a time slot — only Busy events do. Check the event's availability setting in Google Calendar.
- Busy time blocks the public booking page, not the dashboard's time-slot picker. If you're scheduling manually from inside the dashboard, you may still see and select a slot that Google shows as busy — that blocking only applies to clients booking through your public booking page.
Appointments Show the Wrong Time
Check your dashboard timezone
Go to SettingsProfile and confirm your Timezone is correct. The dashboard shows a warning pill in the header when your account timezone differs from your device's timezone — click it to jump straight to Settings.
Check Google Calendar's timezone
Google Calendar can silently switch its own timezone when you travel if Use device time zone is turned on. In Google Calendar, open Settings → General → Time zone, turn off Use device time zone, and set your primary timezone manually.
An Order Became Unscheduled By Itself
Deleting the synced event in Google Calendar un-schedules the matching Order in ITB — this is expected behavior, not a bug. To fix it, open the Order and reschedule it from its Appointments tab.
